The finale of our HalloWarrens Week celebration, our third and final post and episode, The Southend Werewolf has arrived! Though it is one of the Warrens' lesser-known cases, it is a story that is as interesting and thought provoking as it is strange. In the late 1980s, Ed and Lorraine Warren faced one of their most mysterious cases yet when they met Bill Ramsey, a man who went into trances in which he exhibited the characteristics and behaviors of a wolf. After his story appeared in several newspapers and even TV programs, he was dubbed "the Southend werewolf," and his story sparked a fascinating debate; was he under the power of demonic possession, or simply suffering from periods of rage and delusion that led him to believe he was an animal?
