Episode 17: Singing, Songwriting, and Self-Love - Judy Talks with Young Troubadour, Royal
Description
When I write the intros for my podcast, normally I don’t have much trouble. But when it came to writing something about my guest on this episode, I kept writing, deleting, rewriting, and deleting again. Royal is such a unique young person and I can’t seem to find the words to introduce him in a way that seems good enough.
So, I’ll just give you some basics and let him tell you the rest; Royal is a queer singer-songwriter living in NYC and the last few years of his life have been nothing short of transformative. We talk about his upbringing in a Mormon home, his path altering experiences with music INCLUDING his audition for The Voice, coming out as bisexual to his family, learning to accept himself, and how he is moving forward with tons of self-love, joy, and gratitude in his heart.
But before we get into the interview, if you are questioning your sexuality, gender identity, mental health, or all of the above, there are so many organizations out there that can help. And let’s say you want to better understand your friend, family member, or co-worker, they can help with that, too.
I’ll be posting these links on the website at judytalkspodcast.com and they will also show up in the show notes on whichever platform you use to stream.
On this episode of Judy Talks – the young and oh-so-wise troubadour, Royal.
