Episode 17 - Daft Punk - Random Access Memories, The History
Description
In May of 2013, Daft Punk released their most ambitious album yet, a soaring celebration of decadence, recorded like their favorite 1970s disco anthems. After 20 years of making music in their bedrooms, Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem Christo traveled across the globe, recording in the most famous studios in the world and working with the most talented musicians to create something timeless: Random Access Memories.
The Grammy-award-winning record is one of the most beautiful pieces of music released in decades. How did it get here? What was the motivation? On this week's episode, we talk about the history of this special record. Tune in over the next couple weeks as dive deeper into this masterpiece! Next week, we will discuss the collaborators. The following week will be our track-by-track album review!
