Sean Wagner is the Lead Writer and Editor for Alberta Nuclear Nucleus. Him and his team are working to promote and advocate for nuclear power to be incorporated into Alberta’s energy plan. They describe that one of their mandate’s is to “provide easy to grasp education about the details of nuclear power and work to dispel the myths and misunderstandings surrounding this foundational tool.” Sean has a BSc and MSc in Materials Engineering from the University of Alberta and has dedicated his life to making nuclear power a reality in Alberta and throughout Canada.







I had a blast talking with Sean and discussing what it will take to bring nuclear power into Alberta as well as what the opportunities and challenges will be throughout the process. One of my favorite lines that Sean brought up during our discussion is that the “future of energy is NOT a zero-sum game.” We all need to work together to make the energy we use cleaner and greener.
