The very first thing that I hope and pray with all of my being, is that every one of my listeners not only understands, but relates to intimately and personally is one fact: that our relationship to God is supernatural. And that must be the foundation---the singular foundation for each and every one of us; a supernatural, inward revelation of the Son of God that was sacrificed for you and me---a revelation that is so powerful, so alive, so earth shaking that we know we can never be bought or owned by anyone but God himself, and no one but God himself has any rights to us. That, and that alone, must be your foundation and mine. The entire tone and tenor of everything that is written and said in the New Testament, is a reflection of that fact. Spirit-filled apostles writing to Spirit-filled believers, building upon the foundation of the revelation of Jesus Christ in their hearts; a Revelation fuelled and empowered by the indwelling of the Holy Spirit of the living God.
