n Ezekiel chapter 1 Ezekiel sat under an open heaven while the Spirit of the Lord lifted Ezekiel into the spiritual realm to receive visions and encounters from God. Because of Ezekiel's assignment as a Watchman Prophet to the people of Judah, Ezekiel needed extra courage and boldness for delivering his weighty messages during his ministry upon the earth. God strengthened Ezekiel through his encounters and provided everything Ezekiel needed through his communion with Him. Not only was Ezekiel's ministry birthed under an open heaven. But, what Ezekiel heard and saw while standing in the counsel of the Lord, validated his calling through the accuracy of his prophetic Words [Ezekiel 33:3].
