The song in question is lyricized by Robert William Lamm (October 13, 1944) -- for recording onto the Chicago V album of 1972 -- with the English-language lyrics containing the name of a Sicilian folksong popularized by Julius LaRosa (born January 2, 1930) and Archie Bleyer (June 12, 1909 - March 20, 1989) in 1953.
