NEW HERO is the formation of Keaton Carelse aka Grimehouse and Scottie Moore lead singer of REBURN.

NEW HERO is non genre specific armed only with the common goal of creating music that takes you on a journey to make you feel good

The duo has a history that stems back to their late teens when they met as DJ’s in the Cape Town underground music scene. They went their separate ways and both explored completely different styles. Keaton making a name as “Grimehouse” the number 1 ranked Dubstep DJ in South Africa and headlining the country’s biggest festivals, while Scottie went on to front chart topping SAMA nominated indie rock band REBURN.

THE RISE

Since their inception in early 2016, New Hero haven’t stopped. They have had all of their singles play listed on national radio and have already topped the charts in South Africa with songs:

New Hero – Chasing Hurricanes - #1 on 5fm for 5 weeks, #1 on Goodhope FM, play listed nationally throughout SA

New Hero – Kryptonite - #1 on 5FM, #1 on Algoa FM, #1 on Goodhope FM & #1 on Heart FM. (Charted top 5 on other stations)

New Hero – Closer - #1 on Goodhope FM (Play listed throughout SA on National Radio)

With a 5th single release and album on the horizon set for mid 2017, It’s safe to say that New Hero are only getting started
