Mapperley spans over 600 acres of beautiful rolling Waikato country. 
Simms is in the middle of his busy breeding season with his 3 stallions working hard and this interview dives deep into the 'ins and outs' of what is involved in stud operations as well as the challenges facing their industry. 

Although Simms was born and bred on Mapperley, he pursued a professional rugby career before eventually taking over and diversifying the family business.
