Episode 308 - THEOLOGY MATTERS EP. 1 - Primer
Description
Welcome to the first episode of the Exude that Christianity Theology Matters series! We will discuss theology matters, because our Theology Matters!
The goal is to dive into important matters of theology like the nature of God, who Jesus is and why He matters, how we are saved, and how we should exude our christianity in a world that is looking less and less like heaven every day.
I have spent years now, both formally and informally, studying the Bible and theology. I hope to share some of that knowledge and perspective with you all, and have discussions about how these things matter. Each episode will contain what I am calling “Seminary Samples,” which are simply things I wrote during seminary for various assignments, repurposed here to add clarity to the discussion, and because I have already thought those thoughts, and they are laid out in a way that I think will add to these discussions.
As always, I am joined by my good friend Robert!
today we will cover what theology is, different forms of theology, an interesting and disappointing survey about the state of theology in America today, what systematic theology is and why we should use it, and some other thoughts as we build off that idea and look forward to some of the major topics of discussion coming down the pipeline.
There will be references and more in the show notes, and also new to the podcast, is that if you would like to send us a message about something we covered here, or something you would like to hear in the future, email us at ExudeThatChristianitypodcast@gmail.com. Me and Robert will reply and love to continue our discussions from each episode going with you, the listener!
