1) A NEW WORK – DEFINITION

Scriptures referenced: Phil 1:6,

Philippians 1:6 (NIV)

being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

• Implication #1 – Your salvation is an act of God, not of yourself




• Implication #2 – Your salvation happened at a moment in time, but it isn’t just a moment in time




• Implication #3 – Your salvation is a work but it isn’t just a work

2) A New Work – Description

• Description #1 – Love will increase




• A decision to love each other is a decision to love yourself and what you want, less – so that somebody else gets the reward of your effort*




• Description #2 – Knowledge will increase




• Description #3 – Depth of insight will increase

3) A New Work – Results

• Result #1 – You will know what is best




• Result #2 – You will arrive blameless




• Result #3 – God will be glorified
