I’ve always been active and played sport, but working full time as a veterinarian I struggled to fit in regular exercise.
I did practice yoga, but when I started crossfit I found it really addictive… but then very quickly I realised it was exhausting me.
Just one or two sessions per week was enough to leave me feeling really drained.
I could have pushed through, taken supplements, increased my protein, gone to bed earlier or any number of things. But the truth is that level of energy expenditure was just not good for me at that time in my life.
In this episode I talk about exercise being a tool to balance your energy and fill you up – not empty you out.
