Five-time CrossFit Games masters athlete Ron Mathews didn’t start CrossFit until he was 41 years old. Since then, the former collegiate football player has risen to the top of the field in his division, finishing in the top 11 in the Masters Men 40-44 Division from 2013-2014 and the top three in the 45-59 Division the following two years, winning the division in 2016 with four top-three finishes and three event wins. A Hollywood celebrity trainer, in 2006, Men’s Journal named Mathews among its top 100 trainers in America.
