Episode 39 - What Is Regenerative Homesteading?
Description
This week, we're delving into regenerative agriculture, homesteading, and home gardening - what is it, what does it look like, and why is it a big deal? Regenerative agriculture is an increasingly popular response to the negative side effects of our current conventional agricultural system. Topsoil is one of our most valuable resources, and we're losing it faster than we can rebuild it with conventional systems. That's where regenerative practices come in: lower impact methods of planting and harvesting, focusing on rebuilding topsoil, and adding biodiversity back to our systems. From large scale farming to small home gardens, there are so many ways to implement regenerative practices and build healthy, resilient spaces.
