In this episode of Peace in a Pod, we discuss human trafficking and modern slavery in the US-Mexican border. In this episode, we introduce you to Fernanda, a Communications Team member at the Peacebuilding Initiative. Fernanda interviews Dr. Melissa Torres, Assistant Professor and Director of Human Trafficking Research at the Baylor College of Medicine, and Vice-President of the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom (WILPF). Through this conversation, Fernanda hopes to explore the relationship between migration, nationality, and human trafficking in the Mexican-American context.
