Its Miss Amy, and today on Old Guy Sports, we’re putting on our roller skates and trying not to fall down—because the Old Guy is taking us back to the wild world of Roller Derby. You know… the sport with skating, elbow throwing, flying over the rails, and maybe just a little bit of chaos.
I’m still not sure if it was a real sport or professional wrestling on wheels, but the Old Guy remembers watching it on TV in the 1970s and cheering for the Bay Bombers—especially the women, who were tough as nails and absolutely fearless. So grab a seat, keep your elbows up, and hang on tight… because this episode might just knock you right over the rail!”
