Welcome to the Baseball Evolution Podcast! We are continuing our College Recruiting conversation with Jeff Moyer on this episode and we are covering off:
- Attending a college camp or showcase
- The importance of researching the coach(es), the team, academics, the campus as a whole, and the town or city before contacting a College coach
- Making initial contact with a College Coach and realizing that they are busy, so they might not get back to you right away
- Follow up with them if they don’t get back to you in order to show them that you are interested
- Have your list of questions (players and parents) ready for when you do talk with them
- What to do and look for on a visit. Take additional notes and talk to as many players, professors, students in general as well as the locals about their pros and cons of the college.
- Understand that hearing NO is an opportunity to GROW as you grow through this process.
- How to make your final decision
