In our second The Matt-rix episode Matt Vicari and Chris Bucca Taylor break down the multiple metaphors Lana planted within the new film. We examine the Trans narrative, the meta-narrative of Neo's journey and how Neo is Lana, and we even break down Trinity's narrative and what it means for women.
As we jack-in even further into the Matrix, we also bring up the video games, as well as what each character in this film ultimately represents. It's a perfect bow on the Matrix franchise and one that needed to be told.
Oh and most importantly we talk about the deep connection to Warner Brothers that is present in the narrative as well as the new Matrix character named Bugs who breaks Neo out of the Matrix. Bug Bunny being a trans icon and representative of the WB waking up the franchise kind of brings the Matrix meta-narrative neatly back to where it all originated.
