Description

This week, we’re proud to bring you our second installment of the 25th Annual IPLJ Symposium, “European Union Comparative Law.” This panel compares European hate speech laws with America’s First Amendment, using the comparison to hold a broader conversation about media and regulating speech.

Moderated by Professor Martin Flaherty, Fordham University School of Law; Co-Director, Leitner Center for International Law and Justice

Nico Van Eijk – University of Amsterdam, Professor of Media and Telecommunications Law; The Institute for Information Law, Director

Carrie DeCell – The Knight First Amendment Institute at Columbia University, Staff Attorney

Just a head’s up that IPLJ is taking a much-needed Spring Break!  We’ll be back in two weeks, on Friday, April 6, with another all-new episode.

Our theme song is Roller Blades by Otis McDonald.
