THIS WEEK in the Monadnock Region...

What says Christmas more than the honorable and newly-elected representative from Hillsborough 33 and the hardest working musician in New Hampshire? We're joined for our SPECIAL HOLIDAY DOUBLE-EPISODE by the spectacular and luminous Jonah Wheeler and the dazzling and soulful Charlie Chronopoulos! We manage to stick to Christmas for at least the first hour and then...we wonder who killed JFK and things spiral around the globe from there. This is an EPIC episode ITSELF destined to be part of Monadnock Region lore. (Don't worry we bring it back to a heartwarming seasons greetings message before the end. And if that isn't a true blue miracle...)

* We share our favorite Christmas songs and the controversial, uncensored reasons why (war, German harshness, Putin masks, fear, minor keys, etc.)

* What is the best way to introduce children to the JFK assassination during the holidays? (OLIVER STONE, Santa's nephew)
* Many people don't know this, but children in the 60s used to sit on Nixon's lap and ask for presents (and some people to this day use Britney Spears for communion)
* Jonah, alone among the group, presents the Christmas spirit of unrelenting optimism (which we like but argue with)
* Charlie debuts The Parable of the Lost Musical (a timeless story that echoes well beyond this present day)

Maybe we all have a role to play and there's a plan for us after all.
