Description

In a time of social distancing and remote working, how are the Court and Tribunals responding to the COVID-19 pandemic?

In this podcast, Cassandra Zanelli will explore what contingency arrangements have been put in place by the Courts and Tribunals, and how these arrangements will impact current proceedings and any future claims that might need to be brought in the next 6 months.

In particular, Cassandra will consider the contingency arrangement for cases in the First Tier Tribunal (Property Chamber), and the Guidance issued by the FTT for its users, including:

  • no further face to face hearings or mediations

  • determination of matters on the papers or via remote hearings

  • suspension of inspections

  • how to communicate with the FTT with closure of offices and reduced working of those yet to close
