The problem in France may be incorrectly lumping safe Heat Pumps with dangerous to install and operate wood burning stoves. 8)France, Paris. Why we should have a universal air quality index? - ScienceDirect.com 1)Canada, British Columbia. British Columbia mom to hand out PM2.5 monitors after child’s wildfire death. RAWSEP View: This story shows the need for more PM2.5 monitors and more hyperlocalized PM2.5 monitors to warn of hazardous levels of wood smoke pollution. This article does not mention indoor residential wood burning as a source of PM2.5 pollution, but all wood burning pollution is the same, whether it is wildfire smoke, indoor residential wood burning smoke or industrial (wood burning) biomass smoke. This article also mentions the need for “clean air shelters” with air purifiers running, for respite from wood smoke. Clean air shelters could be what near neighbors of indoor residential wood burners call their own homes if they are well sealed and have multiple air purifiers running. That is no way to live, in a sealed home and with air purifiers always running, wearing personal protective equipment even in good weather, and not being able to exercise outdoors safely because of indoor residential wood smoke entering the near neighbor’s yards and sickening them. Wood smoke also reduces the efficiency of nearby solar panels by 50%, discouraging use of a clean residential energy alternative, along with wind powering Heat Pumps that work down to 40 degrees below zero in 2024, which have government rebates in 2024. This British Columbia mom is bravely trying to help others in her community, and hopefully around the whole country of Canada. In the article CAPE’s president says “But we also have to put out the fire at its source and prevent the smoke from getting worse by reducing our use of fossil fuels,” RAWSEP’s editor would like to add “We also have to put out wood burning at its source and prevent the wood smoke from getting worse by shutting down every indoor residential wood burning appli
