Join the SanyuSisters as we chat to Ashish K.C all about how he has side-stepped COVID to keep his research on track and share knowledge during a global pandemic.


Ashish is a perinatal epidemiologist and went on to complete a doctoral degree in neonatology. He has a wide range of experience and has previously been technical advisor to Save the Children and UNICEF over the last 15 years. He is currently based in Uppsala University, Sweden and has worked within the research field for many years both leading and supporting several large trials based in Nepal. 


 Ashish has published in many journals and more recently in Lancet Global Health: KC, A., Gurung, R., Kinney, M., Sunny, A., Moinuddin, M. et al.(2020). Effect of the COVID-19 pandemic response on intrapartum care, stillbirth, and neonatal mortality outcomes in Nepal: a prospective observational study.


We are delighted to be able to chat with Ashish and hear how he has navigated the  sharing of research findings both within the academic community and study participants etc
