Description

In this conversation series by the University of the Philippines School of Library and Information Studies, archives and information studies professors chat about everything records and archives.

The ICA’s Universal Declaration on Archives recognises their value as “authoritative sources of information underpinning accountable and transparent administrative actions” and thus vital in protecting citizens’ rights and promoting responsible citizenship. This episode explores the cooperative role of records and recordkeeping within a participatory democracy, touching on aspects of critical information literacy and open government.

This episode is in a mix of English and Filipino.

For The Record is not a lecture nor a webinar. It is intended as a casual introduction to key concepts in archives and records management through a relaxed yet academic discourse.

Season 2 of For The Record will be back in 2021 with more conversations on archives and records!
