Episode 8 - Growing up Britishandsomethingelse: Nigerian
Description
I couldn't NOT end this season with a BANG and for our final episode of this season, we are in conversation with the wholesome Tiwalola "Tiwa" Juba. Tiwa is British-Irish-Nigerian (I had a lot of questions for this one too but hear her out!) who grew up between Nigeria and London, having settled in London with her husband and son. We talk family breakfast (shoutout to pepper eggs), bad gal Tiwa, getting shipped back to Nigeria after being too naughty, colorism, BLM in the workplace and the sense of Black community. Tiwa is a technology management consultant living London and is a huge advocate for Black Women. She's reallllyyyy doing the most! Disclaimer: This episode was recorded in June 2020, a few weeks after the global BLM protests in the UK and USA. The topic is just as relevant 3 months later!
