The nation experienced another tragic school massacre yesterday. On cue, the same old arguments have emerged and I, for one, tire of the same old arguments. It’s not about guns. It’s about societal rot—the decay of a nation’s soul. Does this nation no longer believe in the sanctity of life? Today, I see the repeated question, “What can this nation do about guns?” Wrong question. Let’s ask what this nation can do about mental health. Let’s ask what this nation can do about the loss of institutions and the loss of trust. And let’s stop political grandstanding like this utterly shameful display from Beto O’Rourke…
