An issue that many people (even many Christians) have is not having a heart that is thoroughly and deeply open to The Lord. Not only is this one of the most unacknowledged problems, but it can also be one of the most detrimental struggles. When our hearts are not open to The Lord, open to His guidance, His Wisdom, and care etc., we perceive hardships that we encounter through a lens never intended for us.

Pastor Denise uses as an example of a person who experiences child abuse and from a place of anger and unforgiveness makes a vow, a promise, a declaration that they “will NEVER abuse their child”. While this may seem noble and honorable to many, it is really a trap used by the enemy to get you doing the very thing you’d vow never to do! So let’s listen on how having a healed and open heart saves us from these traps the enemy, so cunningly, sets for us!
