Description

You're going to love this new episode of the Conversations With The Mind Podcast!!! Today we interview Nicole Blanchette, a PhD student working in the fields of clinical mental health and sport and performance psychology.  We talk about her current research project focusing on female combat athletes.  Nicole tells us about her more than 10 year experience with Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Muay Thai and her challenges in overcoming a double hip injury as well as other challenges.  We discuss her experience as a therapist both in New York City and how it compares to therapy work in a small town community and the possible factors underlying heightened numbers of mental illness in bigger cities.  What a fascinating conversation.  Thank you Nicole for sharing your extensive wisdom and knowledge.
