Today I am joined by all five members of The Donnys!
Hailing from Kilkenny, I first heard of these guys through Luke from Raise The Bar!, who was alarmed that I had never listened to them and once I gave their album a go, was immediately hooked. Their album, 'Get Active', released in April of this year, is a fantastic blend of pure Rock'n'Roll and with a modern twist that is just mad fun for the entire duration of it's 45 minute runtime.
We'll be chatting about the album in full, going into some of the themes explored, who the hell Gunther Brown is, the very interesting way the album was recorded and a bunch of other side stories along the way.
Can't recommend this band enough, make sure to grab tickets to their next performance at Electric Avenue on the 12th of July alongside Joycult, Chalk Blonde and Aliensincaves.
