Quebecers love their cheese — whether it’s for a charcuterie board, a Thanksgiving dinner, or a Christmas feast. But now, a Canadian ban on raw-milk cheeses from Europe is raising concerns for all of us lovers of fine cheeses. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency says the temporary ban is because of lumpy skin disease outbreaks in European cattle herds. To help us understand what this means for our taste buds and our holiday tables, Andrew Carter spoke with Gilles Jourdenais, owner of La Fromagerie Atwater.
