Description

Byzantine need no introduction... but should they do, here's the news: They are the best example of hard work paying off. In their infancy, they released a number of albums through Prosthetic records, hitting the ground running. They break up, and after a few years, return with a vengeance! Releasing both their self-titled album, and To Release is to Resolve with no help from a label, but with the support of friends, family, and fans. MetalBlade snagged them up, they dropped The Cicada Tree, survived Covid, came back AGAIN with a soon-to-be-released ep, playing shows, sounding dope, and kicking all kinds of motherfuckin ass!!!

It is criminal that these guys are not as big as they deserve to be. I'm down with every single album they've put out, but they are one of the few bands out there who have an album out that I can place as a pivotal release in my life as a human. Their self-titled album got me through some times where there was no sun to be found, metaphorically and literally, and their forward-thinking compositions set the bar for all of the music in which I judge to this day. Thank you Byzantine for making excellent music!
