Tiaa was born and raised in New York, and is a devoted wife and mother of one. She spent over 12 years in Corporate America in the Alternative Investments and Financial Services Industries. She has a MBA in Finance and Management Information Systems and a BS in Accounting and Business Administration. Like many, she was raised with the notion to go to college, get a degree, get a good job and make a lot of money.
In early 2008, Tiaa grew increasingly tired of Corporate America. She often felt trapped and unappreciated. She yearned to find a better way. She enjoyed her field but did not enjoy what came with it. During this time, a friend introduced her to the book, “The Secret”. This book opened her mind to believe anything is possible. It was at that very moment, Tiaa decided to follow her passion in Interior Design. After taking courses and endless research, Exclusively Yours Interiors LLC was born in Oct 2008.
Tiaa continued to work full time in Corporate America while doing her Interior Design business part-time. Her design business was slowly flourishing however due to the multiple constraints and stress in Corporate America, it became difficult to market and network the way she needed to. She knew to totally breakaway from corporate, she had to create multiple streams of income. On Christmas of 2009, Tiaa’s mother gave her a solid perfume scent from Soul Purpose. Something about Soul Purpose resonated with her spiritually. Soul Purpose’s goal is to help entrepreneurs launch and sustain viable socially-responsible businesses that create wealth, stimulate growth and revitalize communities across the country and globally. This is done by offering an exquisite line of all natural health and beauty products. For Tiaa, joining Soul Purpose was a no-brainer. It was a perfect fit to what she wanted to achieve.
