Before we knew that we were having a boy, we called our son Gremlin and before we knew we were having a girl, our daughter's nickname was Monkey. We weren't able to have any more children after our daughter, but I'm sure we would have come up with more ridiculous pre-name nicknames. Our son was Monsterfood once he was old enough to play "run away from the monster." He still responds to the nickname years later.
