Description

David got the opportunity to interview Lisa Barcy at her home studio in Chicago IL. The two talked in the wake of a recently dismantled set from her most recent short, the Cut-Out Stop Motion short, "The Ephemeral Orphanage"; an Official Selection for the 2020 #MoStopMo Shorts Fest.

A professor of Animation at DePaul University School of Cinematic Arts, Lisa is an independent filmmaker, animator and artist. Her often irreverent and #Experimental award-winning films include The Guilt Trip, Mermaid, and the Andrew Bird music video Anonanimal. In 2018, in conjunction with Kolaj Magazine, she co-founded the Kolaj Film Festival in New Orleans, which focuses on #Collage and #CutOut Animation!
