FRANCIS JUE is an American actor and singer known for his work in theatre, film, and television, particularly for his 2025 Tony Award-winning performance in DAVID HENRY HWANG's play Yellow Face. Jue first appeared in New York in 1984. His Broadway credits include M. Butterfly and Pacific Overtures, and his extensive stage career encompasses regional theatre, Off-Broadway, and the San Francisco Bay Area. Jue has also held recurring roles on TV series such as Madam Secretary and The Good Wife and Joyful Noise with Dolly Parton and Queen Latifah. Achievements so far: Tony Award: Won for Best Performance by an Actor in a Featured Role in a Play for his role as Hy in Yellow Face (2025). Lucille Lortel Awards & Obie Awards: Received these for his role in Yellow Face, among other awards for his work. Broadway: M. Butterfly, Pacific Overtures, and Thoroughly Modern Millie (creating the role of Bun Foo). Plus a Philly Award, a Zoni Award, a Drama-Logue Award and numerous Bay Area Critics Circle Award.
