Faith That Moves Mountains Matthew 21:18-22 July 13, 2025
Religion places no ‘demand’ on your faith.
Christianity places constant ‘demand’ on your faith.
All of us have ‘mountains’ that need to move. Obstacles, relational breakdowns, illnesses, financial challenges and other seemingly insurmountable barriers. Don’t despair; Jesus said you can move ‘mountains!
Examples of ‘mountain’ movers:
Noah: Genesis 6 Hebrews 11:7
Abraham Romans 4:16-21 Hebrews 11:8-12
Moses Exodus 1-12 Hebrews 11:23-30
Many others: Hebrews 11:32-39
We move ‘mountains’ by:
1. Hearing the Word of God.
2. Believing the Word of God.
3. Speaking the Word of God.
Hearing the Word of God produces Faith.
Romans 10:17 John 5:39 Acts 14:7-10
Faith produces ACTION! James 2:14-26
We hear the Word by reading the Scripture,
We hear the Word through teaching and preaching.
Mountain Moving Faith Requires:
1) Hear the Word of God. Faith comes from hearing God’s Word.
2) Believe the Word of God, without doubting or wavering. That leads us to a third and final key to faith that moves mountains.
3) Speak the Word 2 Corinthians 4:13 It is written: “I believed; therefore I have spoken.” Since we have that same spirit of faith, we also believe and therefore speak. Ps 116:10
