If you spend too much time needing to prove that your nation is the only sovereign nation, that your race is the only race that God loves, that you're the only religion that's going to heaven, you're the only gender that's worth considering — whatever it might be. That by almost any criteria would be called narcissism. But people get away with it for some reason if they speak about it in favor of their tribe or group. And there's only one thing more dangerous than individual narcissism and that's group narcissism. What Jesus called the crowds. Fitting in, seeking approval. It’s when you all agree to tell the same lie together. That your particular ethnicity or racial group or country or religion is the only one going to heaven, the only one God cares about. We can't handle this kind of stupidity any longer. This is one planet and we're clearly all creatures of the same God. And we either start seeing divine identity in all of God's creatures or we're in major trouble if we keep this proprietary and parochial dualistic way of examining everything up. Human life is about more than building boundaries, protecting identities and creating tribes.

Existence is wanting full consciousness of itself. Real life is waiting for a phony life that’s finished with phony waiting to wake up! Repentance is to WAKE UP here and Now! The shopworn word, ‘repentance’ (metanoia) has nothing to do with ceasing immoral behavior. One doesn’t change themselves. They see by slowing down and observing their incessant stream of thinking. Your idea of you doesn’t matter. Your idea of yourself is what is looking and as long as it’s a WHAT, you’re an object too!

There are commonly two kinds of human beings: there are people who want certitude and there are people who want understanding; and these two cannot understand one another. Seriously! Those who demand certitude out of life will insist on it even if it doesn’t fit the facts. Logic has nothing to do with it. Truth has nothing to do with it. “Don’t bother me with the truth—I’ve already come to my conclusion!” If you need certitude, you will come to your conclusion. You will surround yourself with your conclusion. The fervently religious fearful puritans use ‘testing the spirits’ as a knavery means to remain stuck in their one trick pony way(s). This testing is timidity. What would it be like to fall asleep and never wake up? Now, this poses the next question: What is it like to wake up after having never gone to sleep? That was when you were born. And when you’re ready to wake up, you are going to wake up. And if you’re not, you’ll stay pretending that you’re just a poor little me. Not all seek meaning but those who do will find it. By the way, what you are looking for is what is looking. And it will disturb you because you never imagined it was actually seeking you. Fierce grace feels like fear oftentimes so let it pass. The experience you’re having which you call ordinary everyday life — pretending you’re not it — that experience is exactly the same as it. There’s no difference at all. There’s no belief in reality. Reality doesn’t need beliefs. Reality is just the way things are. You don’t have to believe in the way things are for them to be the way things are. You have to believe things are not the way they are in order to perceive things other than they actually are. Fear is a natural reaction to moving closer to the truth. There is only one reality. Any final distinction between natural and supernatural or sacred and profane is a bogus one. Also, any kind of “As Soon As Syndrome” genitive to seeking a better ‘YOU’ as you ‘work hard’ on ‘YOU’ is like shovelling smoke.
