Description

Carol Ofori spoke to registered paediatric dietitian Megan Marshall about the importance of proper nutrition for children - especially during the December holidays when school feeding programmes pause.

The conversation ties into East Coast Radio’s Season of Sharing 2025: Feeding Smiles, in proud partnership with Pick n Pay - an initiative that ensures children across KZN don’t go hungry when schools close. Each R2,600 food hamper feeds a family of four to six for up to six weeks, filling the gap left when daily school meals stop.

Last year, Season of Sharing raised over R1.15 million, bringing hope and full plates to hundreds of families. This year, the goal is even bigger - to feed more children, more communities, and more smiles.

Because no child should go hungry this festive season.
