Our world needs the main thing the Church has to offer: The Gospel of Jesus Christ.

But the Church needs what only God can provide in order for it to effectively share the Gospel: a genuine heaven sent refreshing, renewing revival.

An example of what happens when God truly shows up took place in the ultra-corrupt region of ancient Samaria through His uncorrupted prophet, Elijah.

1. The enemies of revival

• The compromisers (vv. 1-9)
• The corrupt (vv. 17-18)
• The confused (vv. 20-21)
• The competitors (vv. 25-29)

2. The elements of revival

• The Savior (v. 30)
• A spirit of solidarity (vv. 31-32a)
• Separation from the world (v. 32b)
• The supernatural (vv. 33-38)

3. The effects of revival

• Revelation (v. 38)
• Repentance (v. 39)
• Removal (v. 40)
• Refreshing (v. 41)

How desperate are we for God to show up and show off through us for our world?
Is it not time for heart preparation for revival!
