United States Republican Representative from Florida, currently serving his first term in Congress, but no stranger to leadership in government, being a retired fire chief, then a city of Miami manager, then commissioner and ultimately a three-term Miami-Dade County Mayor from 2011 -2020. And as a Cuban, who immigrated with parents in 1960 in the wake of the Cuban Revolution, then settling into what became Miami’s Little Havana- Representative Giménez knows a lot about the dangers of “fiery” rhetoric , in fact, he’s part of a group of Republican congressmen, called Freedom Force, who are “fighting against socialism in America”. (And as it turns out, also at dinner!)
