Description

What can we learn from forced migration in light of the war in Ukraine?

For this final episode of our current focus, we have a closer look on the topic of forced migration and asylum in Europe from a theoretical perspective. With support from WU Vienna’s Judith Kohlenberger, we explore similarities and differences between refugee movements in 2015 and 2022. Moreover, we ask the question of what Europe can learn from the current situation. Judith Kohlenberger is a researcher at the institute for social policy at the university and author of Austria’s science book of the year 2023 “Das Fluchtparadox” – in English “The Forced Migration Paradox". The interview has been recorded on 22 June 2023.
