Forest Work Begins Near Popular Prescott Trails: What You Need to Know

Beginning this week in Prescott, contractors will begin several hand-thinning operation projects on the Bradshaw Ranger District, including the Ruth Fire Stewardship Project, Lynx East Timber Stand Improvement project, and Poland Junction Timber Stand Improvement project. Chainsaws will be used to thin hazardous fuels, and material will be hand piled. The project locations are as follows: Ruth Fire Stewardship Project • Adjacent to the community of Ponderosa Park, along Ponderosa Park Road and Marapai Road-Forest Road 64.
