Hwang is the co-founder and former healthcare executive director of Innosight Institute, a nonprofit think tank devoted to applying the theories of disruptive innovation to problems in the social sector. He also co-authored “The Innovator’s Prescription: A Disruptive Solution for Health Care.” He is an internal medicine physician who obtained his M.D. from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, and he also received an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
