Fouzia Dastango on Courage, Her Voice & Her SecondAct
Update: 2022-09-24
Description
Born in a small family with big dreams, meet Fouzai Dastango. Coming from a very humble background and no backing, Fouzia has stood by hard storms.
'Dastan' as story and 'Goi' as teller, Fouzia is the First female story teller in Urdu language. She is a natural born story teller but her niche is narrating the Indian epics Mahabharata, Rama, Krishna in Urdu language in her beautiful voice.
The bonus was to record this podcast in person at Kunzum Cafe, Vasant Vihar. Thanks Ajay Jain for creating this lovely space to hold such conversations.
Some beautiful nuggets that I took back from this podcast are :
- Warmth and resilience are super powers of a woman
- It’s important to work on one’s passion
- Mental health should be the top most priority and conversations around the same should normalise
- Stay determined and many doors will open
- The charm of old Delhi is in its culture, warmth, narrow lanes, and it’s delicious mouth watering food
This podcast is mostly in Hindi and Urdu , do hear us for very authentic conversation.
