Ori and the Will of the Wisps is one of the most gorgeous takes on the Metroidvania genre, and developer Moon Studios knocked it out of the park when porting it to the Switch. Players take control of tiny guardian spirit Ori, who must jump, glide, climb and swim throughout a variety of platforms to rescue a baby owl, an adventure that spirals off into something mystical and beautiful. It’s a platforming adventure that’s smooth as silk, and an enjoyable diversion that fits absolutely perfectly on the handheld console hybrid.

Thumper’s difficulty is suffocating. Along with the oppressive music and the stark graphics, it turns the game into a claustrophobic, stressful, frightening experience. It rattles around inside my brain when I’m not playing it, its velocity and brutality careening throughout as I try to unwind after playing. Thumper taps into art’s ability to alter our consciousness, introducing a new reality for us to get lost in, and it’s not afraid to let this dream world look and feel like a nightmare. Most rhythm games want to replicate the best time you could possibly have at a rave; Thumper wants you to feel like you’re shaking on the floor of a bathroom stall, praying for those weird shapes and sounds that surround you to go away. It is an essentially perfect realization of its own unique goals and concerns, and a game we’ll be playing and celebrating for decades.

It finally happened. The Nintendo Switch surpassed the Super Nintendo in lifetime sales, with over 50 million units moved since the console launched in 2017. This puts the handheld/non-handled device above the bulk of Nintendo’s console library, including the N64, Wii U, and GameCube. All that’s left for the Switch to beat is the NES and the Wii. Amazing!, I have the game in Japanese and in this game there was a lot of DLC, as it is Japanese and I am Brazilian, it would be a dilemma to buy dlc with nintendo blo when international purchases, however with this method of the prepaid nintendo card I was able to buy the DLC that I needed it on HatsuneMiku Mega39 normally, loved it!.
