Free Supercharging? Not If You’re Buying a Used Tesla*
Description
Tesla’s Supercharger program — and free, unlimited Supercharger access — was one of its strongest selling points when the Model S (and eventually Model X) were in their infancy.
But as Tesla has grown it has been forced to cut back on its Supercharger policies – first making Supercharging a perk only for referral program customers and then making it limited based on a set amount of electricity.
Throughout this however, all older Model S and Model X cars which were purchased with truly free, unlimited Supercharging were able to keep that privilege, even when they changed hands.
Now that’s changing. And we think there’s a good reason for it.
