His global adventures as an Australian volunteer in Nicaragua and an information officer for the International Red Cross in Azerbaijan honed his storytelling skills. Joining the ABC in 2000, he rose to executive producer of the New South Wales Country Hour, demonstrating how passion and wanderlust can build a lasting voice in broadcasting.
