Andre Soucy is a Transportation Planner for the City of Oakland’s Department of Transportation (OakDOT). He holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Florida and a Master in City Planning from UC Berkeley. He is a Colombian/Venezuelan-American from South Florida whose interest in transportation access and equity is based on his experience growing up in the exurban community of Loxahatchee, Florida. His work on OakDOT’s Funding Strategy team involves pursuing grant funding to support multimodal capital projects across Oakland and updating the City’s equity and data-driven Capital Improvement Program.
