Not a single one of us is free until every single one of us is free. We cannot stop. We will not stop. We will not stop talking, calling, posting, marching, screaming, crying, whatever it takes, because we cannot tell oppressed peoples how to survive under apartheid. We scream ceasefire yet only our whisper is acknowledged. I do know this, that music is resistance. I believe joy is refusal. I believe dance is defiance. And so today I’m sharing a mix I made at Podlasie. When I listen my heart rides the waves of grief and joy, celebrating the synergies in between. I hope this offering brings energy to your revolution.
