Sermon: The Principle of Sowing and Reaping

Scripture: Genesis 8:22 & Galatians 6:7

““As long as the earth endures, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night will never cease.””

‭‭Genesis‬ ‭8‬:‭22‬ ‭NIV‬‬

“Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.”

‭‭Galatians‬ ‭6‬:‭7‬ ‭NIV‬‬

INTRODUCTION: Every action has a consequence! 

Sowing and Reaping: 

“Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.”

‭‭Galatians‬ ‭6‬:‭7‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Sowing to the Spirit vs. Flesh:

“Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.”

‭‭Galatians‬ ‭6‬:‭8‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Sowing Good Seed:

“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.”

‭‭Galatians‬ ‭6‬:‭9‬-‭10‬ ‭NIV‬‬

CONCLUSION: Jesus is the seed that was planted for our salvation! (John 12:24 )
